I have to admit that if I had been close to being fired and then managing to stay on the show I would make a huge effort to include myself in any and all activities. SJH hasn't done that. In the escape room episode she was barely there. Why wasn't she shown in the sauna? Why just JSM? I do believe that she isn't as quick on the uptake as most other members, but she's had 8 years to become better at it and she's not getting any better. Do I want to see her go?

He's being praised primarily for the twist ending, being clever, and for doing something unconventional - not for being the funniest. Typically everyone just does the same thing and we see the same endings all the time.
Endings are important, more so for suspenseful races. Both guests have been praised a lot. Humour is subjective, completely cool that you preferred them over him in that department but that's not why it stood out for most people. But I'd say most of them were funny in this episode. If anything he gets extra praise even when he doesn't do as much as everyone else.
Maybe you're just not feeling the guy anymore but its's not like people have been singing his praises all the time, every week. Like I read these threads as well and it's just not the case.
Excellent episode with lots of classic RM elements: great banter, rebellions, betrayal, a bell chasing final game. The guests were great!!! I especially loved LHN's competitiveness, and she had great chemistry with her team.

This episode probably made me laugh the most in recent years. I loved all of it. The jokes were great, such as JSJ finally getting popular and getting hate comments, HH shouting Mudo so that JSJ wouldn't choose him. YSC's suggestion to play the Race of Wits game to decide who would be exempt from punishment is hilarious. JSJ beaten in his favorite game.
